About Nicole
Ever wondered how learning how to dance can improve your day-to-day life? There are a plethora of benefits, from improved mood, to increased strength & self-worth. Dancing, moving & performing have always been my passion. Since starting my professional training at the age of 14, I have been enamoured by the art of breathing life into rhythm. I grew up in a family of movers, spending years dancing Salsa & Merengue around the living room with my mum & siblings, and reminiscing on the feeling of warm mornings back home in Dominican Republic. Moving with rhythm is ingrained in our history, it has been a part of our storytelling, rituals & love for centuries. Pairing this indigenous knowledge with my 6+ years of training in styles across the board (Hip Hop, Ballet, Commercial, Heels, Waacking, Afro, Latin & Ballroom, and many more), I have built a knowledge base that centres around the joy that dancing brings, the ease of movement through life, and the understanding of your own body. If you're looking for someone who has lived, ingrained & generational knowledge, as well as experience touring around the world with artists, and performing on stages such as The O2 & Royal Albert Hall & growing a self-made career as an artist then you're in the right place. Ever wanted to feel more confident in your dancing? Learning to understand your body will be the first step! My 10+ years experience working as a professional dancer, choreographer & holistic coach has shaped my methodology into one that is driven by breath into the body first & foremost. We will work on posture, openness, and styling - all with the backdrop of gorgeous choreography that'll make you feel like you're on stage with your favourite artists. Improving your fitness, stamina, and shining confidence! Whether you're an avid and experienced dancer that wants some technical improvements, or a baby bailarina seeking to understand "the eight count" you'll find a safe & judgement-free space with me. Sessions are always 16+ All levels welcome.
