About Ana Beatriz
I am Ana Beatriz Pestana, a theatre director, researcher, and yoga instructor with artistic experiences in Brazil, India, Peru, U.S., U.K., and Portugal. I combine over fifteen years of theatrical work, including the directing and preparation of actors through yoga techniques such as Camasca: A Theatrical Offering in Peru, Muvuca and Other Songs, Four Moons, and Bright Eyes in Brazil. I have also led workshops such as Yoga for Actors, Body and Mind Theatre Workshop, Between Yoga and Capoeira, The Art of Self-Narration, Theatrical Practices and Social Struggles, Memories of the Valley: Theatre Workshop Based on Local Stories, Acting Workshop: Cultures, Arts, and Theatre, and Children, Nature, and Community Workshop. As a certified yoga instructor trained at the Swami Vivekananda Yoga Teacher Training & Meditation School in India, I bring practices that connect breath, movement, and mindfulness to artistic creation. My approach encourages self-expression, presence, and the cultivation of intuition, supporting both artistic processes and personal well-being.

The classes invites participants to explore the connection between body, mind, and creativity through yoga. Combining gentle asanas (postures), breathing techniques, meditation, and integrative movement, the sessions are designed to reduce stress, increase focus, and stimulate imagination. Participants will be encouraged to use yoga not only as a practice for physical and mental balance but also as a tool for creative self-expression and personal growth.
