About Spoorthi H
I, Spoorthi H Yavagal, persuing my Masters of science in Yoga Therapy from SVYASA University. Also a kathak student. Yoga has helped me in understanding myself and to gain clarity about the purpose of my life.
I believe that yoga as a whole (not just asanas/postures) is a lifestyle itself. Yoga is a beautiful tool for one's overall well-being. And to make this tool easily accessible to everyone around is my purpose.
In my training period at SVYASA Arogyadhama, I've seen many participants with many problems getting cured through yoga and the changes in their mental state is something that can be identified immediately.
If as many people get access to this yogic lifestyle and lead a healthy life, then my purpose is served.

About the lesson

The class goes for 60 minutes in which we will be addressing each sheath (Panchakosha) simultaneously. Asana addressing the body and mind, followed by pranayama addressing the breath and energy. We'll also do relaxation techniques which will release stress accumulation in the body, leading to deep rest and clarity of thoughts. And Dhyana (meditation) which improves restful awareness in the individual.
All the 8 steps of yoga (Ashtanga yoga) will be taught.
The practices given for each individual is different and personalized according to their needs.
We will also have emotional culturing sessions and happy assemblies to address the happiness or the bliss sheath. (anandamaya kosha)
Yoga Therapy modules for Psychosomatic, non-communicable diseases are used as a supportive treatment to aliviate the root cause.
