About Mari-Claire
I am a Dance & Musical Theatre graduate who offers lessons in dancing, choreography and directing online or in person. These lessons will include genres such as Ballet, Jazz, Acrobatics and Stretching, with the most dominant genre being Contemporary. I am from Gauteng, South Africa and I have been a part of the arts for 20 years, a choreographer for 11 years and have worked under and along side multiple amazing mentors who are very well known in South Africa for their craft.

We will discuss the genre, learn about the terminology, the technique behind the genre and how to properly execute movements to build the right kind of muscle and strength. We will also look at what specific genres look like on their own but also how they can transform when out together with other genres. We will look at how to choreograph & direct and how to use innovative ways to help you with these aspects should you hit an artistic block. We will look at how to put movement to music, a narrative or even to silence.
