About Alyssa
I have attended and graduated CBT and DBT programs as well as studied in EMDR and Somatic therapy. I have struggled myself with the motions of life and try to have empathy for everyone. My main goal of this is to be a support to our community and the people who are burnt out/struggling/silent/scared to reach out.

I'm a young adult with a more 'friend to friend' approach on using mindfulness, somatic and distress tolerance skills. My goal is to handle the stress and anxiety in daily life without the need of serious lifestyle changes. AKA; I want you to still live your life
One of my focus points is letting you lead the discussion and not 'forcing' skills or any changes to your life. I believe that all people have specific skills and tricks that help them specifically and there is no one shoe fits all. In my lessons we will talk about what specifically you are struggling with whether it be school/work stress, relationships, anxiety, ect. Then depending on what you are looking for in the session we would use the Dialectical Behavioral Therapy handbook to teach you what DBT is, how it works and how to use it; or just have the session as a judgement free person to talk to and get feedback from.
Because I am not able to give serious medical advice, these sessions will be mostly revolved around understanding and using DBT.
