About Felicia
Hello and welcome! I'm Felicia, known professionally as Onyi — a Los Angeles-based healing artist, performing artist, initiated priestess, and student of mythology and ancestral wisdom. I am also a passionate and dedicated English language educator who believes that learning to speak a new language is one of the most courageous things a person can do.
I am a native English speaker and a proud graduate of the University of Southern California, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Social Science Psychology. I hold a 160-hour TESOL/TEFL certification and bring over 20 years of professional experience spanning corporate leadership, performance, education, and facilitation across the United States and internationally.
My students can expect a warm, professional, and judgment-free environment where they are seen, heard, and genuinely supported in their growth. I am deeply committed to meeting each student where they are and helping them move toward where they want to be.

MY APPROACH
My lessons are rooted in the belief that language is more than grammar and vocabulary — it is vibration, embodiment, and self-expression. As a healing artist, sound practitioner, and student of mythology and ancestral wisdom, I bring a uniquely holistic approach to English language learning that addresses not just what you say, but how you inhabit your voice when you say it.
TEACHING METHOD & TECHNIQUES
I combine conversational immersion with gentle, real-time corrective feedback on pronunciation, word choice, and grammar. I also pay attention to what I call "energetic blocking" — the hesitation, shrinking, or trailing off that often has less to do with language ability and more to do with confidence, shame, or fear. We work on both simultaneously.
Sessions are warm, unhurried, and judgment-free.
A TYPICAL LESSON
1) Opening: Brief check-in, grounding breath work, and vocal warm-up woven into pronunciation practice
2) Intention Setting: We establish a clear, achievable goal for the session together. You may share where you feel stuck — linguistically or otherwise. For those open to it, we may draw a card or use a simple divination tool to surface the theme that
wants to be explored
3) Core Conversation: Organic, flowing dialogue on a topic aligned with your goals and interests, with gentle real-time feedback
4) Reflection & Integration: We close by naming what you noticed, a word or phrase to carry forward, and a brief grounding moment
Sessions are 30 minutes, with 60-minute options available for deeper work.
