About Carlos
I'm Carlos, and I genuinely believe everyone can sing.
I know that sounds like something a teacher is supposed to say. But after years of performing and working with all kinds of students, I mean it more now than ever.
Most people who come to me don't think of themselves as singers. And when I ask why, it almost always traces back to one moment — a comment someone made, a time they sang in front of others and felt embarrassed, years of assuming their voice just wasn't "one of the good ones." It's rarely about the voice itself. It's about everything that got layered on top of it.
That's usually where we start.
Singing has taken me to a lot of different stages and a lot of different styles over the years. And the thing performing taught me more than anything else is that no two voices sound the same — and that's genuinely a beautiful thing, not a flaw to fix. My job isn't to turn you into someone else. It's to help you sound more like yourself, just with the tools to actually do something with it.
Whether you've never sung outside your car or you've been at it for years and feel like something's blocking you — I'd really love to work with you.

I'll be upfront — there's no fixed program here. No "week one we do this, week two we do that." That approach never sat right with me because honestly, it ignores the most important thing in the room: you.
So every lesson is built around your voice specifically. Where it's strong, where it's not, what you want to do with it, and what's getting in the way. Some students want to finally nail one song they've loved for years. Others want to perform without their nerves eating them alive. Some just want to understand why their voice cracks on certain notes, or why they run out of breath halfway through a phrase. All of that is worth working on, and all of it changes how I teach you.
What stays consistent across all of it:
No judgment — ever. You can crack, go flat, forget the words. That's just what learning sounds like and there's nothing to be embarrassed about in my lessons.
Real technique that actually sticks — breath support, range, tone, control — but explained in plain language and applied to your voice, not pulled from a textbook.
Songs you actually care about, used as the foundation for everything. It's a lot easier to practice something you love.
And honest feedback. Not harsh, but not empty either. The kind that actually helps you grow.
Voices respond to the right kind of attention. Give yours that, and it'll genuinely surprise you. I've seen it happen too many times to doubt it.
