About Jade
I am a dedicated violin tutor with over eight years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a Violin emphasis. My musical background includes extensive work in solo performance, chamber music, and orchestral settings. These experiences shape my practical and performance-focused teaching style. I guide students in building strong stage presence and confident performance skills. Audition preparation is a key part of my work, from technical polish to musical interpretation. I help students understand advanced repertoire and perform it with clarity and depth. I have worked closely with high school performers, conservatory-level students, and competition entrants. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s goals and musical direction. I focus on disciplined technique, expressive playing, and professional standards. I believe great musicians grow through challenge and encouragement. My goal is to help students move beyond limitations. Together, we work toward the next level of true musical excellence.

My teaching approach for violin is student-centered, structured, and encouraging. I begin by understanding each student’s goals, musical taste, and current level. Strong foundations are built through posture, bow control, finger placement, and tone production. I focus deeply on ear training, intonation, rhythm accuracy, and musical listening skills. Technique is developed step by step using scales, etudes, and repertoire.
I help students gain performance confidence through guided practice, mock performances, and stage-ready preparation. Emotional expression is a key part of my lessons, so students learn how to tell a story through phrasing, dynamics, and articulation. I strongly support singers and performers who combine violin with stage or worship settings, helping them connect music with emotion and purpose. Lessons are adapted for solo performance, ensemble playing, and live settings. My goal is to help every student play with confidence, feeling, and a true love for the violin.
