About Sarah
I am a mature student studying towards my degree in Zoology at the University of Nottingham and have only recently decided to donate my spare time to tutoring young aspiring students mainly in the STEM subjects (sciences and maths), however I do have experience in communicating effectively to children/young adults as I was a Girl Guiding leader for 4 years before attending university and have always had a strong passion for learning and science.

My teaching method is to ensure comprehensive knowledge of the basics first before attempting any higher topics as without this students will struggle to break down harder questions on their own to decide exactly how they need to answer the question. I use a mixture of interactive activities to help understand the underlying content and practise of questions and how to effectively answer them. I will endeavour to adapt my teaching manner to that which best suits the particular student as I myself learn in very specific ways and so understand that some broad ways of teaching as simply unhelpful to students.
