About Connor
Education
I am currently undertaking a BA (Hons) in Architecture at the Manchester School of Architecture, and previously studied Construction, Surveying and Architecture in college.
Tutoring
As well as my studies, I tutor architecture, where I run skills based workshops to help you boost your visual representation abilities. I can help you navigate software, and provide design advice from the perspective of someone who is in architecture school.
Practice
In addition, I've also worked in practice! In 2019, I undertook an intership at an architecture practice in Liverpool. So if you have any questions of what life will be like after university, feel free to ask!
Extra-Curricular
I also work as a freelance graphic designer, developing brand identities and creating visual marketing strategies. In my (very little) free time, I play guitar, piano, gym, & mountain climb!

I carry out lessons to help my students with their architectural education or career. I aim to help students feel more confident about the task they are undertaking, providing knowledge, guidance and support. I am friendly and patient, but also like my students to feel they have progressed during the lesson which will end with clear objectives. I also offer your first lesson completely free!
Lessons are tailored according to student needs, however, below are some ideas of topics I can cover:
1. GENERAL DESIGN AND CONCEPT TUTORING
Review your design work and portfolio, provide ideas, strategies and feedback to develop your narrative and project (similar to your university design tutor).
2. REVIT, SKETCHUP, RENDERING, INDESIGN & PHOTOSHOP TUTORIALS
Help sharpen skills using Revit or Vectorworks (BIM), or I can teach both from scratch at the beginner level. I can also tutor in Indesign and photoshop.
3. DRAWING, MODEL-MAKING, AND REPRESENTATION SKILLS
Give your representation skills a boost. I can tutor in architectural drawing and model-making skills or we can focus on a particular set of drawings/models to improve the representation and quality.
4. CV, PERSONAL STATEMENT AND PORTFOLIO REVIEW
Review your work or university application package to help you find a job or secure a place at university. I can also assist with interview practice (mock interviews) and interview techniques.
