About Anna
Hi! I'm Anna, and I specialize in helping students improve in their writing skills. My biggest goal for the students I work with is that they walk away feeling more confident in their writing and comprehension skills, whether struggling with an essay, creating an outline, or even just overcoming writer's block. In my personal life, I am a college student in Nashville, TN hoping to major in Business and Marketing. I enjoy playing music, painting, and spending time with my younger siblings.

I can tutor elementary through college-level students looking for help with: - writing - essays - outlines - proofreading - brainstorming/getting out of writer's block - breaking down prompts - creating strong, effective theses - finding sources and navigating/creating works cited pages MY TEACHING STYLE Good essays come from a strong thesis, credible sources, a solid outline, and a firm understanding of the subject before you begin to write about it. These are all skills that I aim to build student confidence in, helping them to become better equipped to take on essays and written projects. Notes, brainstorming exercises, charts, outlines, and highlighting key words/points that will build strong arguments are all visual tools that I employ as a tutor. TYPICAL LESSON PLAN: Opening Discussion: We’ll talk about your upcoming projects and identify goals and challenges you may have. Brainstorming/Outlining: I’ll help you develop ideas and structure your work efficiently. Writing: We’ll work on drafting together, with an emphasis on creating strong, clear arguments and developing well-organized essays. Proofreading/Feedback: We’ll go over your draft, checking for grammar, style, and flow, offering constructive feedback for improvement. Final Tips: I’ll provide tips and strategies for revising your writing and staying organized with future assignments. I am available to help students of all ages!
