About Brian
Individual attention to a student is important to me. That attention will continue to shape their future and inspire others as well. The knowledge i acquire from the many musical experiences, projects and through publishing my drumming magazine has given me a strong sense of what drummers have problems with and how they learn. With this information I'm able to share with my private students with great a advantage. Super charge your imagination to create real world experiences!
What I like most about the work i do is empowering students to be creative and build self confidence. I learn and understand what problems arise from every new attempt at teaching something. It helps me to be a better educator and performer as well.
I have a bachelors in Professional Music from Berklee College of Music and have studied extensively throughout the years as a teacher and performer of the drum set and percussion.

Asking if a student already has the instrument is important as this ensures a smooth transition into playing! Generally finding out what kind of education the student has aquired and ask about their goals. Younger/older students sometimes will not have goals and this is a great time to discuss curriculum or setting up more laid-back experiences.

Perfect! Brian goes above and beyond with his guidance. As an adult drum learner, I was hesitant to find a teacher that would take my other musical background into account while still being patient with a new instrument. Brian speaks my language and always has the right combination of encouragement and suggestions for improvements. Working in a zoom environment also has challenges and Brian is willing to spend the time to sort out how to have the best remote experience possible. He puts together very helpful videos playing songs I've requested with comments and insights into the rhythms. Highly recommend.
Perfect! I am 10 years old and I think Mr. Brian is and encouraging person who is not impatient if you make a mistake. He tells me to feel comfortable with saying that he may be glitchy or if he does not make sense. He sends worksheets that makes practicing very fun. He is super nice and extremely open and I really like my lessons with him.
