About Rebecca

Hi! I'm Becky and I have been in the horse industry for 20+ years. I was a certified therapeutic riding instructor in 2008, and decided my kids came first. So, my PATH Intl cert. lagged and I never renewed it. I also to the MA Riding Instructors Test and didn't pass by 1 point. I am over qualified to teach riding lessons. My philosophy is teaching the basics and fundamentals of riding horses and caring for them properly. I specialize in beginners of any age. Hunters/jumpers and the basics of Dressage. All lessons are safe- that's my number one requirement. Safety for both horse and rider.

At the age of 24, I wanted to become a therapeutic Riding Instructor. So, I became an ITC or Instructor Training Canadate. Taught lots of group and private lessons. Learned the skills to explain the steps for whatever needs to be taught.

Professional Riding lessons-15 years- hunter/jumpers,equitation and Dressage.

Education- HorsePower in Temple,NH, for a 3 month, onsite education. To become a Therapeutic Riding Instructor.

First, I assess what the student is able to do as far as taking direction. I work with disabled students as well. I make a plan and write it down for each student. So, we know what to work on each lesson. I ask them their goals and what they ultimately want to do with riding.
We take our time with grooming and the basics.
