About Carissa

Lighthouse ranch is a high moral standing Christian ministry. Here we teach good work ethic and human respect, positive thinking and self motivation along with encouraging eachother. Horse riding lessons include Western and English, barrels, jumping, reining and more.

Carissa grew up riding horses and loving them. She did 4-H and OHSET as well as open and AQHA breed shows. She started training in high school and continued from there. She has been giving riding lessons for over 10 years. She really has a big heart for her students, they are like family to her. Carissa wants to give the opportunity for as many people to ride and be around horses as possible...people who would otherwise not be able to afford it. 



Natural horsemanship training.

beginner to intermediate level: barrels, jumping, dressage, roping.

We do a short consultation to get to know your needs and expectations as well as let you know our training ability and skills. 



Our students range from 3 year olds to 76 year olds. Beginners to Advanced riders. 



Be sure you like the instructors personality. Find someone who is honest and fare. The instructor should value you and your safety above that of the animals. Pray and ask God if they are the right person and fit for you and your needs. Be sure you have a good feeling about them. Trust your instinct.



North West Horse Fair and Expo is a great place for any level of horse experienced person. There are many seminars and training sessions there. It is in Albany, Oregon. This year it is March 20, 21, 22nd 2020.
