About Alicja
My name is Alicja, I am a classically trained singer and producer, learning production and engineering in university. I have been studying Music Theory since I was 7 years old, first learning it in Conservatory, which I graduated with a Piano diploma in Poland, where I’m from. Studying music in university has further expanded my knowledge in Music Theory, and helping and tutoring others in my class helped to discover a love for teaching. There have been many times in my life when I needed someone to sit with me and explain things in a way that was so detailed I didn’t expect anyone would want to take the time to do it. I like to understand things down to the core, that way I never have to doubt if I missed something. That is how I like to teach and explain things, hoping to give back the patience that few of my past teachers were able to give me!

I offer basic and intermediate lessons in Music Theory, focusing firstly on strengthening the basic understanding of notation, rhythmics, key and time signatures. I like to spend time on each area of difficulty until it is clear, as my own process of learning and understanding sometimes requires a lot of time spent on one specific thing. I like to teach using different approaches that are fit to the student, and using their strengths to better their understanding of harder topics.
