About Will
I am based in Greenwich, South-East London.
After completing my Foundation Degree in Professional Musicianship at BIMM Brighton, I started playing for Emma King, an amazing singer who had been signed to a record label based in Nashville, Tennessee. At the age of 19, I moved there on an artist visa and toured the States for three years, playing festivals, casinos, colleges, clubs, arenas and everything in between.
I then moved home to London and joined 'Tankus'. We toured relentlessly around Europe and the UK and performed at every major festival including Glastonbury, Isle of Wight, Bestival, Boomtown, Secret Garden Party and many more abroad.
After four years with Tankus, I was recruited to play for the legendary Shakin' Stevens. I played drums on his most recent album, 'Reset'. Among the countless TV performances and gigs, a particular highlight was supporting Status Quo on their arena tour of the UK.
Since then, I have performed with many other legends, including PP Arnold, Mike D'Abo from Manfred Mann and revered record producer Mike Hurst (The Springfields, Yusuf (Cat Stevens) and Showaddywaddy).

Alongside playing with top-level musicians in the UK and abroad, I have been teaching locally and online for the past fifteen years.
I tailor each lesson to the aims of each student. However, I also offer an exhaustive and detailed curriculum to prepare students for any situation they may find themselves in, including session skills, song learning, various styles and detailed technique and technical development lessons.
As well as teaching students how to read traditional music, I have developed my own shorthand which enables me to play a song correctly after one or two listens through.
I have lots of experience entering students to do their grade exams, up to and including grade 8.
Previous students have gone on to be on the cover of NME magazine, star in the West End production of School of Rock and many have gone on to study music at university.
