About Vicki
I have recently been teaching undergraduates (contextual studies) as an Associate Lecturer in the Fine Art Department at Goldsmiths. I have also taught studio practice on the BA (Hons) Fine Art programme at Goldsmiths, helping students to develop their practice, focus on their research and respond to their work. As the programme at Goldsmiths is not media specific and the year groups are mixed, my role included facilitating their critical engagement with one another through group tutorials and seminars.
This past year I have been working with First Year students on the BA (Hons) Fine Art programme and students on the BA (Hons) Extension course (Year 0), which is designed specifically for students from countries outside of the European Union. On both programmes, I have been leading seminars and providing lectures (Art's ambition to link itself with social change - Documenta 14) as part of the contextual studies/ lecture series, which has also included essay tutorials, marking and giving feedback. As part of my teaching role at Goldsmiths, I have also participated in the selection of applicants through portfolio interviews for the BA (Hons) Fine Art programme.
