About Evan
I am a drummer with 15+ years who has experience in Orchestras, Musicals, Big/Jazz bands, Rock, Pop and Metal. I studied music for 10 years and have a Bachelor's Degree (with Hons) in Drums and Performance, as well as Music Theory to A-level. I have been taught by Gareth Grover from Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes, Richard Jupp of Elbow and Brian Hargreaves (Brian May, John Legend and Ben E. King) I have SEMH Classroom experience and lived experience of Neurodiversity and a sibling with Learning Disabilities. I am DBS Certified with Level 1 Child Protection and Level 1 Online Safety. In the last two years I have branched into session work, studio and live production and have been touring England and Scotland with a metal band. I love to share my passion for drumming with others, I offer one-to-one in the Manchester Area as well as online lessons If you have any questions, please get in touch!

I have worked as an SEMH teaching assistant, and also have worked with people with a range of learning disabilities. I have lived experience of neurodiversity so I have a strong appreciation that everyone works in their own way. I offer lessons that feel invigorating and supportive. I will build your skills and confidence on the kit, learning to listen, read and create drum grooves and fills. I tailor my lessons to each student's interests and needs. If you would like to learn specific styles (Jazz, Funk, Soul, Metal, Rock, etc) I will provide more focus in these genres, and I will include techniques that can be used in any genre. I am currently working in the industry as a session drummer and producer. So you will be getting real-time knowledge and understanding of Drums and their history. If you're already a drummer looking to expand your repertoire or a total beginner, my lessons are structured to help you naturally evolve your skills. All ages and abilities welcome. I offer 20-40 minute lessons either online or in person around the Greater Manchester area, I recommend 20-30 minute weekly sessions to start with, unless you're incredibly eager!

Perfect! I would very highly recommend Evan! I recently had an opportunity to be a part of a band, however, I’ve not drummed since high school. Evan helped me prepare for my first gig, which went amazing! He is friendly easy to talk to, polite and patient with me plus a very talented musician. He really helped bring out my creative energy & confidence, I wouldn’t be where I am right now without him so thank you very much Evan10 out of 10!! Make sure you get a lesson booked in before I do lols :D

Evan is patient and happy to tailor lessons to my interests. He obviously has a great love for drumming.
