About Yasser

I'm Yasser, a Moroccan student currently studying Computer Science in Xi'an, China, as part of an international scholarship program. Growing up in Morocco, Arabic and French were simply part of daily life, along with Moroccan Darija — so I've always been surrounded by languages, and I love how much of a culture and mindset comes through in the way people speak.
Outside of studying, I spend my time building small programming projects, following football, and gaming. Moving to China to study pushed me to start learning Mandarin myself, so I know firsthand what it feels like to be a complete beginner in a new language — a bit intimidating at first, but genuinely rewarding once things start clicking. That experience is part of why I enjoy teaching: I remember what it's like to be on the other side.
I'm easygoing, patient, and always happy to chat about anything — languages, tech, football, whatever comes up!

My lessons are relaxed, conversation-focused, and built around what you actually need — whether that's everyday speaking confidence, travel prep, or just enjoying the language. I don't believe in rigid textbook drilling; instead, we'll talk, correct mistakes naturally as they come up, and practice real situations you'd actually use the language in.
Each lesson is adapted to your level, so complete beginners and more advanced speakers both get a plan that fits them. I'm patient, easygoing, and genuinely enjoy watching students get more comfortable speaking with each session. If you're nervous about making mistakes — don't be. That's exactly what lessons are for.
