I teach Arabic for non-native speakers and beginners who want to learn to speak, read, and write Arabic easily. My methodology is simple and practical: we focus on conversation from day one, not just memorizing grammar. I teach Modern Standard Arabic and spoken daily Arabic, with clear pronunciation and easy examples. A typical lesson is 60 minutes with speaking practice, reading, vocabulary, and simple writing. I use pictures, dialogues, and real-life situations to make you speak fast. I help beginners, kids, adults, and professionals who want to learn Arabic for travel, work, or study. If you want to understand and speak Arabic confidently, my lessons are for you.

Find out more about BASSEL

  • 1. Because of your origins or because a teacher inspired you to learn?

I am a native Arab from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Arabic is my mother tongue, my culture, and the language I think and dream in.
  • 2. Can you name a living, historical or fictional character that you think is the emblematic representative of the language's culture?

Al-Mutanabbi. For me, he is the embodiment of Arabic eloquence, pride, and wisdom. One verse from him can carry more meaning than a whole page in another language.
  • 3. Is there a typical word, phrase, tradition or behavior in the language that you particularly like?

"أبشر - Abshir". It doesn't just mean yes. It means: consider it done, with honor and joy. This one word explains Arab generosity better than any textbook.
  • 4. Why does speaking this language matter to you?

Because Arabic is not just a language, it's an Amanah. It's the language of the Quran, of poetry, and of my family. Teaching it is how I preserve it and share its beauty.
  • 5. What is the main difficulty in learning this language and what can help the process of learning?

Students are scared of grammar (Nahw) and Fusha. The truth is, you don't need to master grammar to start speaking. The difficulty is trying to be perfect. I help you by teaching you to speak first with 100 useful phrases, then we build grammar naturally through conversation, not rules.
  • 6. Provide a valuable anecdote related to your language learning or your days at school.

I was teaching chess to a student who wanted to learn Arabic to talk to his Saudi friends. He was stuck on writing. So I wrote chess moves in Arabic for him: حصان، قلعة، كش ملك. In two weeks he memorized the letters because he loved the game. I learned that passion beats memorization.
  • 7. How has travel or a specific trip helped you to increase your skill and knowledge of the language?

Traveling between Jeddah and Makkah to coach 15 students showed me how rich our own language is. A word in Jeddah is different in Makkah. This taught me to teach Arabic that is alive and understood everywhere, not just formal Fusha that no one uses on the street.
  • 8. What makes you a Superprof in language?

I don't teach Arabic from old books. I teach it like a coach - simple, practical, with daily voice notes on WhatsApp and real conversations from day one. I am patient, I know what a non-native struggles with, and I make you speak.
