About Dara
I am an undergraduate student at University of Bath, about to enter my master's year. I am also a passionate musician, with ABRSM Grade 7 Violin and Grade 8 Music Theory, as well as many years of experience in the piano. I excelled at and enjoyed my own music theory lessons, which led me to pursue Grade 8 level. I would love to provide quality teaching to other young musicians who are aiming to pass the early grades (1-4), or just wanting to understand the structure and craft of music better. I am a patient and committed tutor, who will create tailored lesson plans in order to ensure my students get the most benefit possible out of their time.

I offer lessons ranging from 30 minutes to 1 hour, covering all the topics necessary to pass ABRSM Grades 1-4 in Music Theory, depending on the student's requirements. I will provide PowerPoint slides, exam-based resources, practice questions, and interactive exercises to assist their learning. I aim to make music theory as enjoyable and engaging as possible, particularly for younger students. While the lessons will be online (through platforms such as Zoom or Teams), I have a piano I can play short melodies and scales on to explain concepts in a more memorable and understandable way. I am happy to take students of all ages. Ideally, I will provide lessons once or twice a week, and am fairly flexible in the times and days I will be available for.
