About “K”

Hi, I'm K Rawald - I am a NYC based Interdisciplinary Artist and Art Director.

I offer extensive experience as an MFA from Pratt Institute (Sculpture) and BFA from New York University (Studio Art/Psychology) , bolstered by integrated experiences in international artist residencies and higher education programs.

Drawing not only from my personal career as an artist, but also from 5+ years as a professional fabricator/art handler—there is no dream or creative pursuit we cannot accomplish together! All you have to do is start, let me show you how.

About the lesson

Whether you’re preparing for Open Calls, Artist Residencies or Academic Programs; or feeling unsure tackling a new creative endeavor—I offer students support along all stages of the creative process. There is no need to struggle alone. Let’s get you to your next step!

Consider me your Art Coach/Advisor.
When in doubt, we can work it out:
-Application and grant writing
-Portfolio submission/review
-Fabrication/construction strategy
-Installation considerations & exhibition realization

MATERIAL/TECHNIQUE SPECIALTIES:
sculpture, ceramics, glasswork, metalwork, woodwork, mosaic, mixed media collage, drawing & illustration, video editing, Adobe Creative Suites (i.e Photoshop, Premiere, Illustrator, InDesign), stain glass soldering, construction adhesives, finishing techniques, non-traditional surfacing

Something else? Let’s talk! Together, we can get it done.
