Mr. Feldmesser was my art instructor for several years in high school, and I sought him out again a few years ago when I became interested in honing my skills as a painter. He is an excellent teacher—patient, knowledgeable, flexible. With decades of experience under his belt, he is well-versed on color-theory, composition, figure drawing, etc., and always has cool techniques that demystify the process and help lay a good foundation for beginners.

He taught me the basics, covering everything from shading to proportions. And once I was a little further along, he was instrumental in helping me find my own style; as a student, I felt he allowed me enough space to experiment with different techniques while still being a capable guide. A huge bonus: classes were always fun. I would absolutely recommend him.

Alan Feldmesser was the single most groundbreaking art teacher I have had in my life. He laid down the bricks of my artistic path. With thorough demonstration and communication, he helped me to harness all of the fundamentals of art, as well inspired me to push the boundaries of my creations.
