About Maria

Maryland Certified K-12 Art teacher working at the high school level since 2020. I have 5 years of experience teaching the following courses at the secondary level: Art 1 Art 2 Honors Drawing Honors Painting Honors Studio Ceramics And a lifelong love of the artistic process!

About the lesson

Learning to draw realistically can feel like an overwhelming task, but with proper guidance and a little bit of fun along the way anyone can learn!

My sessions will focus on observational drawing processes as they apply to the art of portraiture in graphite.

By the end of our sessions you will have obtained foundational skills that can be applied well beyond the scope of portrait drawing.

I can’t wait to meet you!
