About Zyrus Earl

As your tutor, I am committed to providing professional, respectful, and personalized instruction. I take every student's progress seriously and create a supportive environment where they can ask questions, make mistakes, practice, and improve without fear of judgment.

My goal is not simply to help students finish an artwork. I want them to understand the principles behind what they are doing, develop skills they can apply independently, and gain confidence in their creative abilities.

English

I believe great art education goes beyond teaching students how to draw or paint—it helps them see differently, think creatively, and develop the confidence to express themselves.

As an Arts Teacher at Dole Philippines School and a practicing visual artist, I bring together professional teaching experience and real-world artistic practice. My lessons are structured, personalized, and hands-on, allowing students to build strong artistic foundations while discovering their own creative voice.

A Personalized, Student-Centered Method

Every learner has a different pace, skill level, and way of understanding art. I therefore adapt my lessons to the student's needs rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.

My teaching combines:

Step-by-step demonstrations of drawing and painting techniques
Guided practice where I work alongside the student
Visual references and observation exercises
Creative activities and artistic challenges
Constructive, personalized feedback
Art appreciation and cultural connections
Independent projects that encourage originality and self-expression

I make technical concepts such as proportion, perspective, composition, color, value, shading, and visual storytelling easier to understand by breaking them into manageable steps.

What a Typical Lesson Looks Like

Each session is designed to be productive while still enjoyable:

1. Discover – We begin by identifying the student's goal and reviewing previous work or knowledge.

2. Learn – I introduce the concept or technique using clear explanations and visual examples.

3. Demonstrate – I demonstrate the process step-by-step, explaining not only how to do something but also why it works.

4. Create – The student applies the lesson through guided and independent practice.

5. Refine – I provide specific feedback and help the student identify areas for improvement.

6. Reflect – We review the finished work, celebrate progress, and establish a practical next step for continued growth.

Why Choose Me as Your Art Tutor?

What sets me apart is the combination of professional classroom experience and active experience as a practicing artist.

I understand that students don't simply need someone who can make good artwork—they need a teacher who can explain the process clearly, patiently correct mistakes, and help them improve independently.

My goal is never to make every student draw like me. Instead, I help learners master the fundamentals so they can eventually develop their own style, confidence, and artistic identity.

I also create a supportive learning environment where mistakes are treated as part of the creative process. Whether a student is a complete beginner or already developing their portfolio, I meet them where they are and help them move forward.

Who My Lessons Are For

My lessons are ideal for:

Beginners – Students who want to learn drawing and painting from the fundamentals.

️ Elementary & Junior High Students – Learners who need support with school art, MAPEH, visual arts, projects, and creative activities.

️ Senior High School Students – Students taking Visual Arts, Arts and Design, MAPEH, or related subjects.

College Students – Learners pursuing Art Education, Fine Arts, or related programs who want additional guidance.

Aspiring Artists – Students preparing artworks for competitions, exhibitions, portfolios, or applications.

Intermediate Artists – Learners who already have basic skills and want to strengthen their technique, composition, color, painting, and personal style.

My Goal for Every Student

By the end of our lessons, I want students to leave with more than a finished artwork. I want them to gain skills they can reuse, knowledge they understand, and confidence they can carry into their next creative challenge.

Whether your child is discovering art for the first time or preparing to take their skills to the next level, I aim to make every session professional, personalized, encouraging, and genuinely inspiring.
