About Lois
I understand how difficult it is not being satisfied with your grades and that being in education isn't easy.
I want to be able to help students achieve their goals whilst also having time to balance doing things they enjoy in life, which is why I aim to make my lessons efficient but fun as well to keep everyone engaged!
I have experience in mentoring students younger than myself when I was in secondary school and in sixth form.
I completed and passed A-levels in biology, chemistry and French along with core maths.

I like to teach by explaining processes carefully in simple language whilst using everyday examples, and sharing useful but fun resources that students can explore outside of the lessons.
I will also advise students on study skills and the most efficient ways to study according to their learning style, so that they can retain information without wasting hours on techniques that don't work for them.
In addition to this I will also set tasks to complete outside of the sessions so that any subject matter we cover isn't forgotten as soon as the lesson has ended. These tasks will be tailored to each unique student and what they struggle with the most. I will welcome feedback from the student and their parents/guardians so we can figure out as a team what works for them the best.

Details
I charge a fixed rate of £8 an hour for one on one tutoring. There's a discount for packs, though. I charge a 50% cancellation fee if the session is cancelled by either the student or parents/guardians with less than 24 hours notice. I can do one hour or two hour sessions. My sessions are conducted over Google Meet and I will also put up some resources on Google Classroom for the pupil to have a look at in their own time.
